Lapdap ads

Taking account of cultural differences is vital

That said, it’s important to know that ethnic and cultural differences need to be taken into account when promoting products particularly in Africa. This series of ads was part of the launch package of ads and meeting materials we produced to promote Lapdap (chlorproguanil/dapsone), GSK’s important new addition to the limited number of antimalarial drugs suitable for use in sub-Saharan Africa. Jane Carr organised the launch meetings across Africa.

Encyclopaedia Britannica

A subtle appeal to people’s good taste

Encyclopædia Britannica has for over 235 years been the reference standard of the world. Today, it’s available on DVD. But the books are still produced for those who love to browse from one subject to another. This is part of a mailing package we produced using a subtle approach of the joys of just reading the encyclopaedia for pleasure as well as a reference source. It ran in the UK and Australia with good conversion rates particularly as the set sells for over £800.

GSK Flu Vaccine

No place for subtlety in this important message

We had to get across to people at risk, the need to be vaccinated against flu every year. This is just one of the impactful campaigns we produced for SmithKline Beecham Vaccines. Brash, yes but the message is clear… ACT NOW!

Roche Healthy Eating

The art of communication

Because of their diet, Asians are more likely to suffer from diseases associated with excess fat and sugar. This is part of a campaign we produced for Roche warning Asians of the risks from an unhealthy diet. We produced it in 5 Indian languages, as well as English, so that it could be targeted at specific ethnic groups.

GSK Interchange

Internal communications are important too

We write and design a regular Intranet magazine for GSK’s Diseases of the Developing World containing stories on the development of medicines and vaccines in the fight against diseases such as malaria, AIDS, and TB, as well as marketing best practice articles. It is designed to keep staff informed of what the company is doing in this vital area of R&D.
